Sarah and Kim chat about some positive changes in their lives due to therapy, how TV is part of their self-care (and their productive time, thankyouverymuch, Gillian Anderson), and some of their current favorite shows and characters.
Sarah and Kim catch up on what they’ve been up to so far in 2018. Sarah shares the details of her recent staycation, confesses she’s a recovering magazine hoarder, and shares about how she turned her house into a very nice place to be. Kim recently moved and is just beginning to settle in, but yoga, meditation, and patience have been helping her go with the flow. They both plan to stick with therapy this year, and look forward to more home/self improvements!
Sarah and Kim open up about the consequences of news-cycle anxiety (Kim couldn’t even pet a puppy!), and discuss the recent wave of sexual assault allegations in the headlines. They share their personal experiences with harassment and their hopes for what may change for women. Since the news is so exhausting, they also give their top self-care advice.
Sarah and Kim watched Stranger Things 2 and have THOUGHTS. They chat about the good and bad of Eleven’s journey, Billy being THE WORST, and the controversial “bad episode.” Basically, the Duffers should call them for their notes. Then they recall some truly awful episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, since Sarah always has #BuffyOnALoop and has a list of episodes to always skip. They share their favorite Buffy episodes too.
Sarah and Kim are back! After a long-ish hiatus, we catch up on life, including travel, Hurricane Harvey, and watching all of Twilight in three days. Sarah recently attended the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, and she shares her favorite topics from that and they discuss politics and social issues in the age of Trump.
Sarah and Kim chat about their own past pets, how they made a big difference in their lives at certain times, and why they are pro-adopting a dog. They also discuss TV shows from the ’90s coming to Hulu, reboots and remakes, and the good and bad of how much has changed in TV culture.
Sarah and Kim talk about Presidential pets, including how the current president is the only one in history to not have one. They also chat about past struggles without healthcare and how that carries over even after you’ve got coverage.
Sarah and Kim share the story of two teen girls skipping gym class who became best friends for life. (It was them!) They also chat about other great best friend pairs, the return of Luther (Obama’s Anger Translator), and each make three recommendations that could improve your life.
Sarah and Kim discuss local news stories about helping people in financial need and why these (so-called) feel good stories actually feel bad. They then discuss why most advice about budgeting isn’t helpful, paying for college, and Sarah gives her top tip for saving money.
Sarah and Kim are staying indoors as much as possible since it’s summer in Texas. This week they share their summer television favorites, and the five movies they’ll grab if they have to go hide in a bunker for some reason.
